Goodness...it's WiNdY!

For the last few weeks maybe even months it's been windy...but today my friends, it was (and still is) WINDY!  It's so windy you don't even want to go outside.  I went to take Bella for a walk this afternoon and only went half way because my mouth and eyes were filling with dirt!  There is a brown cloud that's sitting over us right now.  Yuck!

Our daffodils have bloomed in the back yard...our back yard faces south so it's gets pretty warm out there.  I'm worried they're going to blow away.  Hopefully they'll make it.  =)

This morning Geoff and I went to see, Act of Valor.  It got HORRIBLE critic reviews, however when Geoff and I see poor critic ratings, that usually means we're going to love the movie..and we did!  The movie is based on active Navy Seal military men and women.  So the main characters are made up of Navy Seals, there are a few places where you can definitely tell that they're not trained actors/actresses...but it was still an awesome movie.  Geoff loved every second and said, 'Finally!  A movie where they actually re-load their guns!'  Most Hollywood movies where gun fighting is involved they shoot unlimited rounds and NEVER have to reload their ammunition.  If you've every shot a gun or been around one, you know you have to reload at some point.  Ha!  The actual mission was fiction, but it still had a great plot and was very entertaining.  I wouldn't classify it as a war movie...but it was definitely an action movie that focused on the prevention of terrorism.  I don't think I can ever say this enough...but I can't THANK our military men and women enough for the sacrifices they make on a daily basis.

We then ran some errands and went to Qdoba for lunch.  Naked Chicken Queso Burrito.  'nuff said!  Geoff ate a burrito that literally weighed as much as newborn child.  Haha!  Geoff was in the garage all afternoon working on his boat...he's nearly done with the cosmetic repair and I can't wait to show you all his hard work that he's put into it.  It looks really good!  Big reveal soon...tomorrow??

Photo A Day Challenge - March 18th:  A Corner of Your Home

This beauty takes up a corner of our home, for sure.  When I first moved to Denver, which will be 8 years ago in July.  (SERIOUSLY?!?!?) My Mom and I went to Home Depot to find a few things to make my little 2 bedroom apartment feel more home-y!  So...I found a suedo palm tree I just had to have!  This once, little guy fit into the back seat of my GEO Prizm, it was maybe 2 feet tall.  Now, it's taller than Geoff and every few weeks it sprouts a new leaf.  Ha!  I don't know when it's going to stop.  But I love it!

Hope everyone had a great weekend...and have a great week!
