Bump Update - 24 Weeks

We finally got some measurable snow this morning, so I had to take a picture of it.

How far along? 24 weeks
Baby Size: Corn - 12.5 inches and 1.25 lb
Total weight gain: 15 lbs. (ahh!)
Maternity clothes? Got a new pair of maternity jeans this weekend...never knew I'd be so happy!  They're really cute too!
Stretch marks?  Nope...still all in the clear.  But got some dry, itchy skin.
Sleep: Doing pretty good...still get up once a night for a potty break and little boy makes sure to let me know when I've gotta go.
Best moment this week: Putting together the crib and dresser...it made things so much more real.  Ahh...we're having a BABY!  (Progress pics will come)
Miss Anything? Being able to sit for extended periods of time.  I get restless A LOT quicker than I used to.
Movement:  He's a mover and a shaker and I love it!
Food cravings:  My Momma's Famous Carrot Cake (she told me I couldn't have the recipe to until she dies!  Really, Mom?  haha!)  But I'll get some in a few days.  :)
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope...doing well!
Gender: Bouncing Baby BOY
Symptoms:  Some tailbone pain and I seem to get bloated really easy lately.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood:  I'm good...I'm ready for some time off and some relaxation during our break.  My work gives us the week between Christmas and New Year's off...it's fantastic!
Looking forward to:  CHRISTMAS!  We're only 6 short days away!

Bump Update - 23 Weeks

How far along? 23 weeks
Baby Size: Large Mango - 11.5 inches and 1.1 lb
Total weight gain: 14 lbs.
Maternity clothes? All maternity jeans...hoping to get a few more pairs this weekend.
Stretch marks?  I think I might have spotted my first stretch mark...I'm hoping it just winter dry, itchy skin.  Ugh...
Sleep: Don't know if I'm tossing and turning because I'm uncomfortable or because my husband sounds like he's sawing down a forest at night.  I swear he's snoring now more than ever...I still love him though!
Best moment this week: Ordering the crib and dresser!  Oh my-lanta!  This made me so happy, I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders...now I'm just checking the tracking status every single minute to see when it'll be delivered.  (We just picked up the crib and dresser!!!)
Miss Anything? Cookie dough!  I know that sounds weird, but this time of year when I'm baking, I just want to lick the bowl and spoon clean.  But...no-can-do:(
Movement: Oh, he's a kicker!
Food cravings:  Fruit snacks.  I could eat one for every meal.  YUM!
Anything making you queasy or sick:  No...but my crazy sense of smell has returned, I'm just praying everything doesn't start smelling moldy again.  (That was the HUGE red flag to the Hubs that I was pregnant!)
Gender: Baby Boy McCoy (that's what my sweet friends are calling him)
Symptoms: Some cramping, some tailbone pain...
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Good, I felt a little weepy a few days ago...for no reason whatsoever, but I'm over that now.  Just feeling jolly this time of year...it's so crazy to think that this will be Geoff and I's last Christmas as a couple.  Next year, we'll get to play Santa Claus and all the focus will be on our sweet boy.  (I'm pretty sure the focus will be on him this Christmas as well!)
Looking forward to:  Setting up his crib and dresser.  Oh-vey...I can't wait!!!

LITmas

Courtesy:  Dana Bollwerk

As I've mentioned many times before I'm part of a book club, an awesome book club.  A few years ago when I started working at Rachel's Challenge, I became good friends with Dana, who had recently started a book club with her friends and she invited me.  Thankfully I passed the entrance exam.  whew!  I believe we're coming up on our 5 year anniversary of being a book club, which is pretty incredible.  Anyways...every year December is a 'free' month so you can read whatever your heart desires and we celebrate Christmas, or as we like to call it, LITmas.  (Which is a combo between our bookclub name, LIT - Lost in Translation and Christmas) It's just a great time for us to all get together, eat good food, laugh, reminisce about good and not-so-good books and enjoy the season of Christmas!

My sweet friend, Dana and I.  Courtesy: Dana Bollwerk
This past weekend we had our 2012 LITmas celebration (sorry for the delayed post) and it was a blast!!  Keechia and Sabrina hosted and they did a fabulous job!

Sabrina & Keechia. Courtesy: Dana Bollwerk

Not only was the food good (Kee, I loved your spicy enchiladas), but they had great activities planned for us as well!

There were three different stations set up, the first one was a popcorn station.  There were 4 different types of popcorn that they made and we filled a tub with popcorn for our family and then one for a neighbor.  (My neighbor, Tonette was thrilled because her favorite snack is popcorn, SCORE!)  There was hot chocolate, thin mint, party and orange, cranberry, almond popcorn.  Delish!

We then had a station where you made white chocolate dipped Oreo's sprinkled with candy canes.  They were delightful I tell you!

And last, but certainly not least we had a bottle-cap necklace making station.  Keechia had already put together a wonderful collection of interchangeable magnets for our necklace, but you could make a few more and you had to make the actual bottle-cap portion.  Too cute!

I walked out of there with a bag full of goodies...and some sweet gifts as well.  Sabrina made each of us an ornament with our initial on it and curls of book pages on the inside.  Sandi had her book, Why I Love You printed and we each got a copy, hot off the press!!  And I also decided at the very last stinking moment to make something for all the girls as well.  I kept going back and forth...but decided to make this mulling spice.  I was so pleased with how they turned out and I've been burning mine on and off for a few days now and it smells delightful and so Christmas-y!

Sorry...I've been too lazy to download my good pictures so cell phone pics it is!
I literally feel so blessed to be a part of this special group of girls.  We're so, so much more than just a book club, we're friends and we'd do anything for each other.  We've been through the ups and downs of each one of our lives and we still continue to stick together!  I thank the Lord every day for such a great group of girlfriends that are REAL.  So...here's to a great year and many more years to look forward to!  Cheers!

Bump update to come tomorrow!

Bump Update - 22 Weeks

Our Christmas tree and as you can see our baby boy already has 2 stockings on the tree and one on the mantel.  Sorry about the lighting, it's ultra bright.

How far along? 22 Weeks
Baby Size: Banana - 11 inches and 1 POUND!!
Total weight gain: 13lbs
Maternity clothes? Good ole maternity jeans and leggings with dresses.  Even splurged and bought maternity leggings, they're heavenly.
Stretch marks?  So far, so good!
Sleep: My poor, poor arms.  Because I've been sleeping on my sides more, I tuck my arm underneath my head or straight out and then after a while it's dead asleep and hard to move.
Best moment this week:  Geoff feeling our baby boy move.  He's tried for some time and finally our little mister was playing along and kicking his Daddy back.
Miss Anything? There's a list of things that the doctor tells you to stay away from eating...most importantly you have to make sure things are cooked all the way through.  This has proven a little challenging, especially during the holidays when people are constantly bringing food and you don't really know what's in it or how it's cooked.  Just trying to be extra careful.
Movement: He seems much more active when I'm sitting down, I think he gets bored.  LOL!  So at work or in the evenings when I'm relaxing he's constantly moving around!
Food cravings:  It's hard for me to call any of these things 'cravings'.  I was wanting a pecan pie so I made my first one a few nights ago.  Delish!

Anything making you queasy or sick:  No, not really.
Gender: Little BOY McCoy
Symptoms: I've started to get some pain in my tailbone, which they say could be the beginning of sciatica.  Oh please, NO!  So I've been sitting on an exercise ball at work and doing some stretching which seems to be helping.  *fingers crossed*
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: I was joking the other day that I'm not as emotional now that I have testosterone running through my veins...but when I cry, I C-R-Y!
Looking forward to:  Buying furniture for the nursery, hopefully soon!

Gender Reveal & Bump Update - 21 Weeks

The wait is finally over.  We are beyond thrilled to be having a sweet baby boy!  Of course his Daddy is over the moon excited as is all of our family.  Let me just start off by saying the 20 week ultrasound was unbelievable.  Seeing all the fingers, toes, chambers of the heart, brain, everything...was breath-taking and brought tears of joy to my eyes.  Seeing our baby boy make such strides in just 20 weeks was a beautiful sight. I don't think he was very fond of the ultra sound tech because she kept pushing and prodding at him...so he was super active and moving all over the place.  I feel like we can finally start prepping for our little man.  I have nursery ideas ready to go and I'm ready to hit the stores and get nursery furniture ordered!!

No baby boy names yet...and even if we did know we wouldn't tell ya.  :)  We're opting to keep that a secret until our little prince arrives.  About 131 days to go, but who's counting.

As for the big reveal to our family...we knew we were finding out days before Thanksgiving, which was great because then we'd be able to tell our families in person.  So I ordered these sweet little scratch-off tickets from Enchanting by Design in Etsy.

They were perfect and our families loved them!

How far along? 21 Weeks
Baby Size: Banana - 10.5 inches and 12.7 oz.
Total weight gain: 12lbs
Maternity clothes? Officially in maternity clothes.  Even the belly band is gonna be nixed...
Stretch marks?  Smelling like a pina colata minus the alcohol of course.  :)
Sleep:  Still tossing and turning occasionally, but have found myself sleeping on my back more often than not, which is a HUGE change because I've always HATED sleeping on my back.
Best moment this week:  I have to go back a week...seeing our baby boy and finding out he was a baby boy and sharing that news with our family was by far the best moment yet!
Miss Anything? I'm not much of a drinker...but this time a year a nice glass of white wine with friends is nice.  I can wait though!  :)
Movement: We have a crazy man on our hands!  Totally depends on what I'm eating, but if it's got some type of sugar, baby is a mover and a shaker.  I love it though.  (Although I did think something was wrong the other night because he was moving so much!)  haha!
Food cravings:  Fruit snacks.  I'm loving fruit snacks.  I can't get enough.  Eggnog is also a fav right now (although I always like eggnog).  Yup, it's ultra-pasteurized.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  I've been getting occasional queasiness lately...not sure what it's from.  Not bad though.
Gender: Bouncing Baby BOY
Symptoms:  Occasional cramping and back pains, but nothing else that I'm noticing.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On  (if I don't drink enough water...they've been getting snug!)
Mood: Good!  My poor Momma though, I keep telling her I feel like we don't have what we need for the baby.  She keeps reassuring me that we've got some time.  :)
Looking forward to:  Starting on the nursery!!

Bump Update - 19 Weeks

How far along? 19 weeks
Baby Size: Heirloom Tomato - 6.0 inches and 8.5 oz.
Total weight gain: It's goes up and down.  I'm between the 8-10lb range.
Maternity clothes? Still rocking the belly band and leggings, but maternity jeans are appearing more frequently, they're just so much more comfortable on the belly!
Stretch marks?  Smearing the Palmer's Cocoa Butter every night.
Sleep: I feel like I've been doing a lot of tossing and turning lately.  Sleeping on my side is uncomfortable because I feel like my belly hangs (if that makes sense)...so I'm thinking I need to invest in a body pillow pretty soon.  Hopefully that'll help.
Best moment this week: Really starting to feel the baby move.  It's transitioned from feeling like bubbles/butterflies to more of a popcorn popping feeling.  If I really look close, I can see a light tap coming from the inside...Geoff got to see it the other night too.  Pretty exciting!!
Miss Anything? Coffee.  This time of year all I want to do is visit Starbucks every morning for a Pumpkin Spice Latte or a Peppermint Mocha.  Yum-o!
Movement: Little popcorn popping, almost daily.  It just depends.
Food cravings:  French Onion Soup.  I've been thinking about it for days now!
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Nope not really.
Gender: I'm feeling confident that we're having a baby BOY.  The day I saw the positive pregnancy test, I told myself, 'We're having a baby boy!'  Then after time I started second guessing myself, so now I've decided to go back to my gut instinct.
Symptoms:  I just get uncomfortable after while and occasional leg cramps.  Really nothing else...I'm feeling BLESSED!
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Doing good...I'm excited to see our family next weekend and celebrate Thanksgiving with them and the little peanut.  Hopefully he/she likes turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie, because Mamma sure does!
Looking forward to:  Ummm...finding out what we're having.  LESS than 1 weeks folks.  6 days to be exact.  I'm hoping that our little peanut will play along.  Got a cute little surprise for how we'll tell our family on Thanksgiving.  I'll be sure to share!

I doubt I'll be posting much next week...as Thanksgiving fast approaches, we'll be running around like crazies trying to get ready for everything.  So if I don't blog before then, I hope you all have a blessed, Happy Thanksgiving.  And the next time you hear from me, hopefully I'll be telling you what we're having.  YEA!

Getting Crafty

I think it must be the change of time or something, because all I want to do it sit in my craft room and make fun stuff or bake not-so-good-for-you goodies.  It has to be the fact that when I get home from work it's dark and cold out so I really don't want to be hanging out outside.  However...I'm loving it.  :)  And...we got a dusting of snow this weekend, which immediately put pumpkin snickerdoodles on the menu.  I found this recipe on Pinterest, surprise, surprise...they are good, but not as pumpkin-y as I would like them to be.  So if I try them again, I might add more pumpkin.  They are pretty fluffy, which I like. (This photo is NOT mine, but they looked similar)

A few days ago I noticed on Pinterest that there are a LOT of free printable options out there, thank the crafting Lord.  You see so many cute things, but you have no idea how to even start.  I wanted to make a 'Give Thanks' banner to hang in our living room for Thanksgiving, but didn't know how to make it happen.  Luckily I found this cute little website that had free printable templates, so last week I put together our little banner.  I love it.  (I'm also loving anything with chevron pattern!)

Now on to Christmas cards...So a while back I decided I was NOT going to make my Christmas cards this year (I've made them for the last 3 years) because with baby on the way I didn't know when I was going to find the time.  I also thought it might be fun to do a photo card instead so my family and friends could see the growing baby bump.  After doing some research, all the photo cards I liked would run me close to $90 which I just wasn't willing to pay this year.  When little babes is here...I'll splurge so everyone an see him/her.  So after pondering and going back and forth, I bit the bullet and placed my Stampin' Up order the other day so I could start making my cards.  They seem to be pretty simple...I didn't want to get anything too complicated as I know I'm short on time.  I'll post a picture once I get going on them.  :)  I'm getting into the holiday spirit and love every second.  Thanksgiving is 10 days away my friends.

Last week flew right on by...I forgot to do a 18 week bump update.  There are no real significant pregnancy changes, of course the baby is growing like a weed or vegetable and is now the size of a sweet potato.  :)  The movement has become a little more common and strong.  It's gone from the fluttering/bubble movement to popcorn popping.  And now if you look close at my belly you can see the tiny little movement on the outside which is pretty amazing.  Geoff got to see if first hand last night.  ONE week from tomorrow we will hopefully be finding out if we're having a prince or a princess!  YEA!!!!

Bump Update - 17 Weeks

I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween!  I carved painted a pumpkin for work and it won 3rd place.  Boo-ya!  Now it has a new home on our front porch...it was a big hit on Halloween night.

Also, my friend Dana and I dressed up as Wilma Flintstone and Betty Rubble for our office party.  We won first place.  Double, boo-ya!

And yes...I did put make-up on my feet to make them look 'dirty'
Geoff and I laid pretty low on Halloween nigh, we just handed out some candy to some kiddos and watched re-runs of Duck Dynasty.  That show only gets funnier with time.  :)  Here's a pet peeve of mine...when children (the tiny ones get a free pass) don't 'Thank You' after you give them candy.  It's easy my friends, it's EASY!

How far along? 17 weeks
Baby Size: Onion - 5.1 inches and 5.9 oz.
Total weight gain: Closer to 8lbs.  Ahh...I feel like I'm gaining too much weight.  But the books keep telling me I'm in the range.  :)
Maternity clothes? Belly band, some maternity jeans and leggings with dresses are go-to right now.
Stretch marks?  Still lathering up with Palmer's Cocoa Butter every night.
Sleep: I picked up a head cold a few days ago...ugh...so sleeping has been a little hit or miss.  I'm tired to say the least.
Best moment this week: Realizing that time time next year we'll have a 6 month old baby for Halloween!  OMG...soo exciting!
Miss Anything? Missing my Italian sandwich again.  Haha.  I went to Subway on Halloween to pick up something quick and got a steak and cheese sandwich, which was delish, but deep down I wanted my Italian BMT!
Movement: Every once in a blue moon I feel a little something.  It's not consistent, which they say is normal this early in pregnancy.  But it's exciting when I do feel a little butterfly in my belly.
Food cravings:  Still loving my fruit snacks...oh and have you ever had coconut roasted almonds?  To. die. for.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope, not lately.
Gender:  This week I'm thinking I shouldn't have jumped on the GIRL bandwagon so fast...now I'm leaning towards BOY again.  Oh goodness, hurry up November 20th!
Symptoms:  My back is a little funky...sitting/standing/walking for a long period of time is just uncomfortable.  I've also been getting leg cramps in the middle of the night, too.  OUCH!
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Pretty good.  Just really annoyed with this head cold.  I want it to go away, but there's not a whole heck of a lot I can take...so head cold it is to protect the little pumpkin.
Looking forward to:  Getting closer to that point where we can really start shopping for baby and putting the nursery together.  Yea!

Trip to Phoenix

So months ago...many, many months ago we planned a trip to Phoenix.  Carrie Underwood released her 2012 Blown Away Tour dates and Colorado wasn't on the list, so I thought...we needed a good reason to go on vacation, PLUS Geoff's grandparents live in Phoenix, so we could spend some time with them.  It worked perfectly.  I now know how to talk Geoff into going on vacation (not that I have to really pull his arm) but I throw Carrie Underwood into the mix and he's totally game.  Haha!  (BTW...she just extended her tour and will visiting Colorado Springs and Broomfield, CO in February!)

Back then, we thought it was just another vacation and another great CU concert.  (This was our 3rd one).  When we found out we were expecting a little peanut, it changed into a baby moon...we hope to not eliminate all adult activities out of our life, however we know they may be a little more sparse once our sweet baby arrives, which we're totally cool with.  So long story short, we were excited for our vacation.  We were looking forward to the warmer weather, seeing Geoff's grandparents and just getting away for a few days.

So, Saturday (Oct 20th) we flew into Phoenix and arrived at 9am.  Haha!  8am flights always seems like a great idea until you have to get up at 4:00am.  Blah.  Once we arrived we drove to Geoff's grandparents and had lunch and then of course Geoff wanted to go to Cabela's.  We cannot travel to a city that has a Cabela's and not stop in.  This was actually a pretty cool Cabela's.  It's pretty much a wildlife museum with product.

That evening we took Harry and Ann out to dinner at Elephant Bar.  It's hilarious because the evening cooled down and by cooled down I mean maybe to the upper 70's, low 80's and people were wearing jeans and long sleeved shirts.  LOL.  While Geoff and I were dressed for the summer!  It's was literally perfect weather.  Not too hot, but a nice little taste of summer time.

On Sunday (Oct 21st) I got up first thing in the morning and met a really good high school friend of mine, Carol Lee at Lo-Lo's Chicken and Waffles for breakfast.  I was a little sceptical and wasn't sure what to order.  So I ordered oatmeal and waffles.  LOL.  They both were delish!!!  The oatmeal was LOADED, came with brown sugar, walnuts, dried fruit and the waffles are pretty much to die for.  It was a great little spot and I'm kind of bummed Geoff didn't go with me.  It was so nice catching up with Carol...we took pictures together but one of them my eyes are closed and the second one her eyes are closed.  Ugh!

I headed back to Geoff's grandparents house and watched movies with his Grandma while we waited for the boys to get back.  They were out shooting skeet.  Haha.  They got back around 1pm and we headed off to In-N-Out for lunch.  This is the second thing Geoff cannot pass up when visiting a city.  And...I'm pretty sure I gained like 3lbs over the weekend because all we did was eat.  Haha!

We came home and relaxed a bit and then got ready for the concert.  When we were driving to Cabela's the day before I saw an Abuelo's Mexican Restaurant.  I had been introduced to Abuelo's when I was in Dallas and I really enjoyed it.  It's Tex-Mex which is very different from what we're used to, but I wanted Geoff to experience it.  So we went there for dinner and Geoff seemed to like it.  I had carnita tacos and Geoff had an enchilada plate with a guacamole, spinach and chicken enchilada.  After dinner we headed to the Jobing.com Arena for the Carrie concert!

It's in such a cool little area and the best part...you don't have to pay for parking!  WHAT?  It's a smaller venue, which is great.  We had great little seats and were excited for the show to start.  Hunter Hayes actually opened the show and were were only impressed with one song.  Ugh.  But the crazy thing is the music was really, really loud and I kept looking and Geoff and telling him I felt like there were bubbles in my stomach and that the baby was moving.  Poor little thing was probably like, 'turn the music down'!  LOL.  Soon after Carrie came on stage and it was quite the show.

Then on Monday (Oct 22nd), we flew home.  It was a great, quick trip and an awesome little baby moon.  :)  I have to thank my wonderful parents for driving up to Denver to stay with our little Bella girl so we could go on vacation and my poor Mom was so sick the whole time.  Then she was clorox-ing and lysol-ing my entire house before I got back so I wouldn't get sick.  Ahh...so needless to say, we had a great time and it was of course nice to see my parents for a few hours when we got back as well!

Bump Update - 16 Weeks

How far along? 16 weeks!
Baby Size: Avocado - 4.6 inches and 3.5 oz.
Total weight gain: 6lb range.
Maternity clothes? I officially purchased the belly band and it's amazing!
Stretch marks?  I think I might  have been allergic to the belly oil because my stomach was getting really itchy, so I switched over to the Palmer's Cocoa Butter and that seems to be working much better.
Sleep: Still sleeping through the night, with one potty break.
Best moment this week: Hearing our little baby's heartbeat yesterday!  It's such an amazing feeling...can't even describe it.
Miss Anything? Now that it's getting colder, once in a blue moon I'd have a cup of coffee at work, especially flavored coffee like southern pecan.  Missing that this week as it's getting ready to snow!
Movement: Either I'm going CRAZY, or I'm starting to feel some movement.  This last weekend we went to the Carrie Underwood concert (I'll post about it later this week!) and once the music got really loud it felt like little bubbles in my belly.  Then this morning I felt it pretty consistently.  Yay!!
Food cravings:  Back on potatoes.  Wedge, seasoned french fries sound delish!
Anything making you queasy or sick: If I get super hungry then I start feeling pretty nauseous and sick.  So I just have to be aware.
Gender: I'm still thinking GIRL.  I told Geoff I'd be more surprised if it's a boy than a girl and we completed the baby pool at my work today, so our guesses are officially set in stone!

Symptoms:  Still a little crampy, but really nothing more than that.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: My poor husband...I'll be totally fine one second and then totally overreact to something that's so ridiculous.  Then a few minutes later, I realize how crazy it is and I have to apologize.
Looking forward to:  Really putting a finger on the baby's movement and we're officially counting down the days until we're able to see the baby in our 20 week ultrasound and find out if we'll be having a prince or princess.

Bump Update - 15 Weeks

Sorry for the cell phone picture.

How far along? 15 weeks (time is flying by!)
Baby Size: Navel Orange - 4.0 inches and 2.5 oz.
Total weight gain: Between 5 and 6.  It fluctuates.
Maternity clothes? I'm going to have to invest in the belly band...my pants fit fine around the legs and hips and zip perfectly fine, but buttoning them is becoming slightly painful.
Stretch marks?  Lotion and oil every night.
Sleep: Sleeping like a champ.
Best moment this week: We're just getting so excited to meet our sweet baby.  Mission: take down spare bedroom/convert to nursery is well under way!
Miss Anything? Dr. Pepper.  I've totally given up caffeine, which has been fine, but within the last few days I've really wanted a Dr. Pepper.
Movement: I've heard that it feels like gas or butterflies.  We'll see!  :)
Food cravings:  Loving fruit snacks and strawberry applesauce.  It's not that I can't live without them, they just sound good!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Lately texture has kind of been grossing me out.  I put polish sausage in our spaghetti and after a while it starting making me sick.
Gender: Back on the GIRL train.  Geoff had a dream about a baby girl a few nights ago.
Symptoms: I've been getting on and off cramps which they say are baby growing pains, nothing bad.  I'm also super stuffed up in the morning and they say that can happen when you have a HIGH blood production.  Interesting stuff I'm learning!
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Anxious. I just want to find out what we're having...only 5 more weeks!
Looking forward to:  I get to hear baby's heart beat on Tuesday!!

Bump Update - 14 Weeks

How far along? 14 weeks
Baby Size: A lemon!  And baby weighs 1.5 oz (give or take)
Total weight gain: 5 or so pounds...uh.
Maternity clothes? A sweet friend of mine from work gave me a TUB full of maternity clothes and she had a cute little pair of skinny jeans, so I've worn those a few times, but that's it.
Stretch marks? Nope...using Motherlove - Pregnant Belly Oil every night!
Sleep: Still sleeping well...did have an odd pregnancy dream last night.  Weird.
Best moment this week: 2 things.  We gave my parents the bed we had in the spare bedroom so spare bedroom #2 has officially become the nursery.  We're starting to prep it!

Secondly, Baby McCoy received his/her first gift from my brother and his wife.  Check out these super sweet slippers.  Ahh...

Miss Anything? Sleeping strait through the night without having to get up to go to the bathroom.
Movement: Not yet...but my pregnancy tracker said the baby has starting making facial expressions and can move his/her joints.
Food cravings: No real 'cravings'.  Just hearty food.
Anything making you queasy or sick: We went to an Italian restaurant for lunch today and the smell of baked Parmesan made me a little queasy!
Gender: I told you it changes week to week...I'm back on the BOY bandwagon!
Symptoms: Feeling like the energy is coming back, get occasional cramping, but I just keep telling myself those are baby growing pains.  :)
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On (unless I eat a hot dog...first and last time I'll do that!)
Mood: I'm doing good...I do find myself getting super emotional over things that totally aren't worth it and I laugh about it later!
Looking forward to: Hearing baby's heartbeat in 2 weeks!

Bump Update - 13 Weeks

Let me first start off by apologizing for my mess of a blog.  I tried 'updating' my background and think I bit off more then I can chew...so now I'm in the process of trying to fix it.  :(  I should've just left it alone!

And now I can apologize for the blurry picture and the fact that I took it with my cell phone...I promise to make Geoff take them from here on out!  :)  Let me note: dresses are a little deceiving of the bump, makes it look bigger than it might actually be.  Hehe...If you knew me when I was a little squirt you'd see me running around in leggings, sweat pants, shorts and jumpers because I hated anything tight on my stomach.  Haha.  So when I wear flowy dresses, my stomach relaxes.  (Or maybe I'm in denial.  I have no idea when I'll start showing...so I'm just going with the flow.  Haha!)

How far along? 13 weeks and officially in the 2nd trimester!  Whoohoo!!
Baby Size: About .81oz, 2.9in or in terms we recognize...about the size of a peach.
Total weight gain: About 4 pounds
Maternity clothes? Nope, nothing yet.  I did have to retire my skinny jeans the other day as they're a little too snug and if anything gets too tight on the belly...I start cramping a little.  Think that's pumpkins way of telling me it's too tight.  :)
Stretch marks?  No...hope it stays that way.
Sleep:  Sleeping like a rock as I'm still able to sleep on my stomach, I know that'll soon change, so I better enjoy it.  I do have to get up at least once a night to potty.  Ugh.
Best moment this week: Being that it's only Tuesday, my best moment was from last week when we went to our 12 week appointment and heard the baby's heartbeat and saw him/her.
Miss Anything? Italian Sub from Subway or Jimmy John's  (I'll probably write that every time...just so you know!)
Movement: No...but I can't wait!!
Food cravings: I can't say I've actually had cravings...I'm enjoying comfort food and anything potato.  Mashed, fried, hashed, baked...yum!
Anything making you queasy or sick: It comes and goes...the thought of Qdoba made me queasy today and I wasn't even going there.  Haha!
Gender: Don't know yet...but this week I'm guessing girl.  (It changes week to week!)
Symptoms: Still tired and seem to get bloated frequently...the nausea seems to be subsiding.  (I really got lucky!)
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Glowing.  Just kidding, I don't know if I'm glowing, however I'm super excited.  It feels so good now that everyone knows were expecting.  I feel like I don't have to walk on eggshells now.
Looking forward to: Getting some energy back.  *fingers crossed*
