Army Wives

Last night I stayed up WAYYY past my bed time because I've been so excited to watch the premiere of Army Wives.  It airs on Sunday nights and we just didn't have time to watch it on Sunday.  It was a 2 hour premiere and I didn't start watching it until 9pm last night.  Geoff SWORE that he'd watch the whole thing...but he barely lasted until 10pm.  hehe...

I have my fair share of shows that I DVR...Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Khloe & Lamar, Teen Mom and Mike & Molly to name a few.  We've watched Army Wives from the beginning, pretty religiously.  The premiere was VERY dramatic (as their base got hit by a hurricane) and entertaining...it is such a great show.  As a wife who gets to come home to my husband every night and doesn't have to worry about the possibility of deployment this show puts things in perspective.  I'm so blessed, but also so grateful to the men and women who are willing to take that sacrifice.  Yes, the show is funny and lighthearted at times.  Yes, I'm sure it doesn't REALLY showcase the  struggles of the lives of real Army/Military Wives, but for someone that really can't relate, it make it more re-late-able.  If that makes sense.  And on a much lighter note...it's entertaining.  If you get the chance to watch it, I'd highly recommend it.

Geoff's best friend and best man in our wedding is a Marine (ooh-rah!) and is currently deployed to Afghanistan.  On a daily basis we pray for Jake's safe return and we also pray that all the other men and women who are serving our nation return safely to their families and friends, soon.  Thank You for Your Service!

5pm
At 5pm, I was literally turning the lights off to my office and walking out the door, so I knew that wouldn't be exciting.  So, on our honeymoon Geoff and I visited/ate at the official Margaritaville in Key West, FL.  So...it's 5 o'clock somewhere, right??
