Getting Crafty

I think it must be the change of time or something, because all I want to do it sit in my craft room and make fun stuff or bake not-so-good-for-you goodies.  It has to be the fact that when I get home from work it's dark and cold out so I really don't want to be hanging out outside.  However...I'm loving it.  :)  And...we got a dusting of snow this weekend, which immediately put pumpkin snickerdoodles on the menu.  I found this recipe on Pinterest, surprise, surprise...they are good, but not as pumpkin-y as I would like them to be.  So if I try them again, I might add more pumpkin.  They are pretty fluffy, which I like. (This photo is NOT mine, but they looked similar)

A few days ago I noticed on Pinterest that there are a LOT of free printable options out there, thank the crafting Lord.  You see so many cute things, but you have no idea how to even start.  I wanted to make a 'Give Thanks' banner to hang in our living room for Thanksgiving, but didn't know how to make it happen.  Luckily I found this cute little website that had free printable templates, so last week I put together our little banner.  I love it.  (I'm also loving anything with chevron pattern!)

Now on to Christmas cards...So a while back I decided I was NOT going to make my Christmas cards this year (I've made them for the last 3 years) because with baby on the way I didn't know when I was going to find the time.  I also thought it might be fun to do a photo card instead so my family and friends could see the growing baby bump.  After doing some research, all the photo cards I liked would run me close to $90 which I just wasn't willing to pay this year.  When little babes is here...I'll splurge so everyone an see him/her.  So after pondering and going back and forth, I bit the bullet and placed my Stampin' Up order the other day so I could start making my cards.  They seem to be pretty simple...I didn't want to get anything too complicated as I know I'm short on time.  I'll post a picture once I get going on them.  :)  I'm getting into the holiday spirit and love every second.  Thanksgiving is 10 days away my friends.

Last week flew right on by...I forgot to do a 18 week bump update.  There are no real significant pregnancy changes, of course the baby is growing like a weed or vegetable and is now the size of a sweet potato.  :)  The movement has become a little more common and strong.  It's gone from the fluttering/bubble movement to popcorn popping.  And now if you look close at my belly you can see the tiny little movement on the outside which is pretty amazing.  Geoff got to see if first hand last night.  ONE week from tomorrow we will hopefully be finding out if we're having a prince or a princess!  YEA!!!!
