So last Sunday, after Brayden's big birthday party, we decided to take Brayden to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs with Geoff's family before they left town. We were excited for Brayden's first Zoo experience and we weren't quite sure how he'd react. Much to our surprise, he LOVED it. He has a huge giraffe in his room, so when we were able to feed the giraffes the little man was thrilled!
We had a great time, but I'd say our favorite part was feeding the giraffes. Cheyenne Mountain is a beautiful zoo that's nestled in the mountains just south of Colorado Springs, however prepare yourself for a little bit of a hike. All the enclosures are literally on the side of the mountain so you have to do some light hiking. ;) The other great thing about this zoo is a lot of walk ways are elevated, so you get more of a birds eye view of the animals, which is really neat.
