First of all, let me start by saying that I couldn't ask for a better role model as a mother than my Momma! She's da best. She is my best friend and I don't know what in the world I'd do without her...especially now that I have Brayden she's been wonderful and has gently helped me in so many ways with him. My Mom has to be one of the most loving, caring, smart, thoughtful people I know. She always puts others before her, which makes her such an amazing Mom...but there are times that she really needs to take time for herself. Not only is she a wonderful Mom, but she's a wonderful wife, daughter and sister. She's all-around a great example to the type of person I strive to be. Thank you Momma for being so great and for most importantly for being YOU! I love you...Oh, and when are we going on a trip, this pictures makes me want to travel? We have to take Brayden though, which I'm sure you'll have no problems with. :)
My first Mother's Day. It was great, Geoff did such a great job planning with help from Brayden of course. He mostly looked cute, but HEY...that's what he does right now. :) We started off our morning at brunch at Arrowhead Golf Course, which was very nice. It wasn't overly crowded and the view is spectacular, which you'll see in the pictures below. Geoff then got me a beautiful necklace with Brayden's birthstone, aquamarine. It was a push-present/Mother's Day gift. :) Then, per my request, we went to Home Depot to go get flowers so I could start my planting. Bad..idea...I'm pretty sure every single Mother in the Denver Metro went to Home Depot too! haha. We ended up just getting one rose bush, which I've been wanting to plant for the longest time, so that made me happy. Then we came home, relaxed and grilled out for dinner. I'd say it was a very, very successful first Mother's Day.
Thank you Geoff and Brayden for spoiling me!
