Brayden - 2 Months

I'll probably say this every single month...so just get used to it.  :)  Where in the world is the time going?!?!  It's so hard for me to believe that Brayden is already 2 months old and is growing like a little weed.  I wanted to wait until we went to his 2 month appointment before I posted this, that way I could get an accurate weight.  :)  I was very pleased.  For the past month or so, I've been strictly breast feeding as I noticed my supply increased, however I was a little nervous because I didn't want to get scolded at the pediatricians office that I needed to be supplementing as well because he wasn't gaining weight.  Thankfully that was not the case.  Check out these stats!

Weight:  12lbs 13oz. - 90th percentile
Height:  23in.  - 50th percentile

I can't even begin to tell you how happy this made me.  Hehe.  My parade was quickly rained on at his appointment though when they informed me that he had to get shots.  I swore they were at his next appointment so I hadn't mentally prepared myself, nor did a I schedule the appointment when Geoff could attend with me.  YIKES!  And to make it even worse, one of the vaccinations that he received is on a nation wide shortage, so instead of (1) combo shot, he had to get 3 individual shots, which totaled 5 shots!  UGH!  This Mommy was a mess.  I'm pretty sure our pediatrician could tell I was a little nervous, but the nurse was very quick and great...and I was crying harder than Brayden was.  Whew...glad that's over.

Brayden is still doing really well.  He eats about every 3 hours during the day and goes about 4-6 hours at night.  I never thought in a million years I'd be happy about 5 strait hours of sleep.  Haha.  I woke up feeling like a champ!

He's moving his little arms and kicking like crazy.  I've been slapped in the face a few times, which is always fun.  Haha.  He is trying soo soo hard to laugh, but just isn't quite sure what's going on.  He plays with his tongue all the time and just loves hearing himself babble.  Hearing Daddy make funny noises is just hilarious too!

This month he really likes to be held.  Ops!  But...don't hold him like a baby, you've got to hold him so he can see what's going on around him.  He just loves taking everything in.  He is becoming more fond of baths and even kicks his little feet...and makes bubbles, with his little toots!  He also LOVES sleeping on his belly.  I know...this is a HUGE no-no, so Mommy and Daddy only allow this during the day when we're able to keep a close eye on him. He also loves to suck on his bent pointer finger on his right hand.

He still hates for his diaper to be changed and forget getting clothes on him...he'd rather be a nakey baby!  He's already fighting his sleeping during the day, so I'm a little worried for those toddler days.

He has really started following sounds and our voices and seems to be able to focus in on things so much better.  Our growing boy!

Melt my heart, why don't-cha!
