Good Friday

Every year when Lent starts I think to myself...Easter seems like a lifetime away, however every year to my surprise, Easter springs upon us in no time.  And look...today is already Good Friday.  A day that we fast, remember and pray upon our Lords crucifixion.

On a totally different note...here's a funny story about today.  Today is the first Friday of the month which means it's Book Club Night!  Whoohoo.  My wonderful friend Sandi who is hosting book club loves bacon (make it extra crispy) so we're having a 'bacon' themed night which I was thrilled about.  We're even reading a book called The Twisted Thread by Charlotte BACON.  Clever.  (I don't know if I was in a 'funk' this month or what...but I had a hard time reading.  I'm only about half way done...)

However, it just dawned on me last week that today is Good Friday, so eating meat (which bacon is, in case you didn't know) is not an option.  I am fully aware and okay that not everyone is fasting today...so I'm still planning on contributing to the bacon feast, (check out these little bad boys!) however I won't be partaking in the feast.  Hopefully I can bring a little to-go box for the weekend.  I'm still looking forward to a great night with my girls!!

It's been a CRAZY weather week in Colorado.  On Sunday it was 85 degrees!  Yes, I said that right, EIGHTY-FIVE.  Monday...it was 40 and then Tuesday it was 32 and SNOWING.  Typical Colorado Spring.  I wasn't complaining about the precipitation, because that whole fire situation and being put on precautionary evacuation was not fun.  We're back in the low 70's, high 60's which I'm cool with!  The trees are blooming and the flowers are looking gorgeous, so I snapped a few photos the other day.  Have I mentioned I love this time of year?  I DO!

**Having technical issues and my pictures are uploading sideways for some reason...so I'll show them to you another day!**

Is anyone else totally thrilled about Titanic coming out in 3D.  As you know, Geoff and I went to see The Hunger Games and the preview for Titanic came on...I was back in Jr. High all over again.  However, I did lean over to Geoff and said, 'Do you think they changed he ending?  Maybe Jack lives!'

Geoff responded, 'Doubt it...JACK, I'll never let go, JACK!'  He thought that was hilarious...I didn't find it so funny.  =)  I hope you all have a wonderful Good Friday and super-duper fabulous weekend.  I hope to blog on Easter, but if I don't get around to it, Happy Easter.

(I'm going to admit...I'm looking forward to being back on Facebook!)
