Brayden - 11 Months

Party planning is in full-effect!!!  Which is part of the reason that my baby is already 11.5 months old and I'm just getting around to posting.  So sorry!

Weight:  24lbs.
Height: 29.5in.

Not much has changed in the feeding department.  He still gets 3 (7-8oz) bottles a day.  He was waking up in the middle of the night, so I gave him another ounce before bed time which seemed to help hold him over.  :)

He's also getting 3 meals a day.  Breakfast is super predictable, either cereal or yogurt with some type of fruit.  For lunch, he gets something a little lighter.  Maybe some cheese and crackers or chicken noodle soup with avocados and carrots, some gold fish and something sweet.  Usually a fruit or some puffs.  Then for dinner we do something a little bit heavier.  Either he'll have a jar of stage 3 baby food with some fruit or we'll do a grilled cheese with fruit and veggies and sometimes we even throw in a few bites of whatever we're having for dinner.  He does pretty well in the food department.  I do have to be weary of anything with a funky texture because that's when he'll spit it back out.

Whew...it's been a wacky few weeks in the sleep department.  So Geoff and I got a little lax and we weren't being consistent with Brayden's bedtime.  Meaning it would be sometime between 7:30pm - 8:15pm by the time we got him down.  Well...we paid for it. He was waking up in the middle of the night as well as waking up at 5:45am!  YIKES!  So we're back on a strict schedule and I know I need to be feeding Brayden by 7:15pm to make sure he's laying down by 7:30pm.  That has seemed to help, but then he caught a little cold so that kind of messed things up.  I also took a nannying position and he's having to nap at their house 1-2 times, so I think that threw him off as well.  He is still taking two naps and I've gotten a little more rigid with those as well.  He goes down no later than 10am for his first nap and no later than 2pm for his second. So, hopefully we'll be back on track soon!!

Some of his firsts this month.  Like I had mentioned in his last post I did stop nursing Brayden, he seems perfectly content and he had showed signs of self-weaning, so it kind of worked out for the both of us.  Plus he had 8 little chompers in that mouth...thankfully he was not a bitter!  Ouch!

He is on everything.  There is nothing he can't pull himself up on and he's pretty comfortable walking down the couch or moving from one object to the next.  He's also a stair climbing master!  It's amazing, one day he could barely go up one and then all of a sudden he was going up the whole flight.  Crazy!

He also started clapping this month.  Yea!!  We do A LOT of clapping in his class at the library as well as at home, so we're just clap happy!  And he's so proud of himself too!

He loves to growl and make silly noises in addition to saying Mama and Dada pretty consistently.  Constant little jabber box, in addition to pointing at EVERYTHING.  He loves to point!

He loves to be on the move and doesn't want to be held for long (waahhh!!!) just let me down to play Mom!  hehe.  He is starting to throw a little fit if he doesn't get his way, but for the most part he's pretty content.  He also loves to ride and push his motorcycle around and loves his little farm book.

I swear every single day he learns something new, it's truly amazing to watch him grow physically and mentally every single day!  He's such a smart little guy and I'm having a hard time believing that he's been in our lives for almost a year!  Time sure does fly, but what an amazing journey it has been so far.

Here's a peek at his 11 month pictures.

1st Valentines Day

Come back, best buddy!

Don't take your eyes off me for one second!

Chasing his balloon!

Mom, Help!  I'm stuck!

Here's a little sneak peek into Brayden's birthday invitations/theme.  Geoff and I were literally looking like fools in our back yard trying to get him to smile, he had just woken up from his nap.  But seriously...CUTEST. KID. EVER.
