Brayden - 10 Months

We're in the double digits...waaaaa!!!  My baby is growing up and we're only two short months away from his 1st birthday.  I can't believe it!

Brayden had to go to the doctor a few weeks ago for a little cold, so I got his official weight...the height is our measurement though.

Weight:  23lbs.
Height: 29in.

So I'm finally adjusting to chasing a baby around the house...all day long!  Haha.  Thank goodness for the pack n' play, bouncer and his seat, so this Momma can get a breather.  I wouldn't trade it for the world though.

Brayden's feeding schedule is pretty predictable.  We're down to 3 (7oz) bottles a day...morning, noon and night.  He seems pretty content with that, so we're going to move forward with that.  I officially stopped nursing a few days ago, but I'm still pumping.  We're so close to that 1 year mark...that I figure we might as well keep going.  The end is near!  I'm not going to lie, I feel so blessed that I've been able to breast feed as it came pretty naturally to both myself and Brayden, but I'm tired.

In addition to 3 bottles a day, he's also getting 3 meals a day.  Generally for breakfast he'll have cereal, yogurt or cottage cheese with fruit mixed in.  Lunch is pretty much whatever we have on hand.  So he might have some avocado, fruit and cheerios or a little jar of baby food.  I've also given him mac n' cheese, quesadillas and grilled cheese, which he loved.  :)  This little boy loves to eat!

We're still putting Brayden to bed at 7:30pm (or as close as possible) and he sleeps until about 7am.  He has his occasional off nights, but for the most part, he's a really good sleeper.  He's also still taking 2 naps a day.  One around 9:30-10am and then one later in the afternoon around 2:30-3pm.  This can be super unpredictable because sometimes he'll nap for 2 hours, sometimes for 30 minutes.

Some of his firsts this month...he tried spaghetti.  It was a little slippery, so he wasn't really into it because it was more work for him to get the spaghetti in his mouth.  ha!  We've introduced a sippy cup, he doesn't use it super often, but sometimes at lunch or dinner I'll give it to him with some water.  We had been working so hard with him on waving and then one evening we went to Qdoba for dinner and the lady behind the counter waved at him and wa-lah! he waved back!  It was so cute...I think I almost cried in Qdoba.  So he waves at EVERYONE now.

Some other fun things he's doing...he likes to point, I'm not sure if he's doing this intentionally or just because, but it makes us giggle.  He also covers his ears and lifts up his arms when we put the table on his high chair.  He makes the funniest fishy, kissy face you've ever seen.  It's hilarious!  He pulls himself up on EVERYTHING...but he's also learned how to sit back down, which is a perk because for a while, I'd have to help him back down.  So if we don't want him to get a hold of something, we have to push it out of his reach.   We also started going to a class at the library, which I think both of us are really enjoying.  We learn new songs and read books and I get to talk with other Mommies and Brayden gets to play with other kiddos!  :)

This age is so much fun!  I feel like every day he does something new or tries something different.  He's also so observant, just soaking everything in.  He is such a good, happy baby and I'm so blessed that I get to spend every day with him watching him grow up.

Check out our 10 month old!
