Baby #2 - 34 Week Update

30 Weeks

32 Weeks
34 Weeks

How far along? 34 weeks, 2 days
Baby Size: Cabbage
Total weight gain: 27 lbs.
Maternity clothes?  Ummm...of course.
Stretch marks?  None that I can see, but seeing around this bump is getting tricky!
Sleep:  Some nights I sleep like a rock...the next night I do a lot of tossing and turning!
Best moment this week:  Today we had an ultrasound at the perinatal Dr - and they do some of it in 3D, amazing!!  He gave us a little pouty face today and sweet little smirk.  Had this Mama all worked up!!  haha!
Miss Anything?  Lunch meat!
Movement: Oh yeah - he's moving as I'm typing.  Some days he's super-duper active and then I think he wears himself out and the next day he's a little more quiet.
Food cravings:  No real 'cravings' lately, that I can think of.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Smells can get a little obnoxious sometimes, but other than that nothing.
Gender: Baby BROTHER!
Symptoms: It has been a whirlwind of a couple weeks.  So at 30 weeks we went and saw the perinatal Dr who confirmed that I had polyhydramnios (too much amniotic fluid), but after scanning baby really everything looked great.  Some of his limbs were measuring a little short, but the Dr said that could be genetic as I'm not exactly the tallest.  One of his kidneys was dilated, but again not enough to really cause concern.  PRAISE JESUS!!

Fast forward 3 weeks and last Wednesday morning before Geoff left for work I realized I wasn't feeling the greatest.  Tossing and turning, cramping, lower back pain, just feeling OFF.  Before Geoff left for work I told him to keep his phone close because I just didn't feel well.  I called my OB to get her opinion and she told me to head to labor and delivery just to be safe and Geoff was barely 10 minutes down the road.  When we got checked in and I got hooked up to everything they realized I was having contractions every 3-6 minutes!!  YIKES!  After 3 shots of terbutaline and oral med and 7 hours at the hospital the on call Dr went ahead and released me on a short leash, with a bottle full of the oral med - nifedipine.  Fast forward almost a week and we're still having pretty consistent contractions on and off and at this point we're just praying that my body can hold on a little longer and keep that baby cooking for a couple more weeks!!  They think my body is just getting tired of carrying all the extra fluid and is done, but I've got to convince it of a couple more weeks!!
Belly Button in or out? Flat!!
Wedding rings on or off? Can usually wear them for most of the day, but just depends have to pull them off every once in a while, especially on the warm days.
Mood: Tired, but just counting our blessings!
Looking forward to: Brayden's 5th birthday - waaahhhh!!!  And April 1st!!  That's our goal, our goal is to help this little man reach 37 weeks!!
