Easter 2015

It's so hard for us to believe this was already Brayden's 3rd Easter!!  Of course for his first Easter he was only 3 days old, but it still counts.  :)  We started off our morning, early!  For the last several years we've gone to the 9:15am mass at my church.  It's insanely packed, like, you need to show up 45 minutes to an hour early and cross your fingers and toes in hopes to get a seat.  That's a tough situation with a toddler...Easter mass is already longer due to the shear number of people, but to make them sit there for an additional hour, tough! So we decided to try out the 7:15am mass this morning.  Brayden is typically up by 6:30am, which he was this morning, so it worked out perfectly.  7:15am mass was full, but no where near as bad at the 9:15am and we only had to get there 15 minutes early.  Yippie!!

Handsome boy, ready for church.

Here's a story I don't want to forget.  So of course at Mass it was very close quarters, so after Mass was over I could see that an older gentleman was trying to talk to Brayden.  So we both turned our attention to him.  He went on to tell Brayden how well he did at church and what a handsome young man he was and that he thought he deserved an ice cream or a treat for Easter and then he went on to hand Brayden $10!!  Geoff and I quickly told him that wasn't necessary, although it was very nice of him.  He quickly refused, wished us Happy Easter and went on his way.  WHOA!  I immediately started crying.  There are angels among us!!!

So here's a photo dump from our Easter!!

Brayden's Easter presents from the Easter bunny, Flop!

I made bunny cinnamon rolls for breakfast after church.

We had a great day, with beautiful weather and lots of family time and maybe an afternoon nap for everyone.  :)  Hope you all had a great Easter!  He is Risen!!

Now, this pineapple upside down cake is calling my name.
