Brayden - 9 Months

I'm a slacking Momma.  Already a few weeks late, between Christmas, New Years and everything going on, it's been put on the back burner.  So, here we go.

Brayden had a 9 month appointment so here are some official stats.

Weight: 22lbs.
Height:  28.5in.

Brayden hasn't put any weight on, which they said is very common during this time now that he's more active.  He hasn't grown as much as he was a few months earlier, but they're thinking they measured him wrong at some point.  They're going to keep an eye on it, but they weren't overly concerned.

What a CRAZY month it has been.  I've decided to start weaning Brayden and to be totally honest I think he was getting annoyed with breast feeding.  I'm still pumping, but he gets 3 bottles a day and only gets nursed before bedtime, which seems to be working for us.  He gets yogurt or cereal with a fruit for breakfast and then some type of baby food for dinner.  We did introduce chicken and turkey and he seems to be liking it.  I swear, he's such a great little eater.

The sleeping pattern has gotten a little more predictable.  He goes down around 7:30pm and then he's been waking up around 5am for a diaper change and wakes up between 6:45am and 7:30am.  Which I'm totally content with.  Occasionally he has his 'off' nights, but it happens.

Some of his firsts this month....drum roll please...CRAWLING!  He's officially crawling and luckily enough both Mommy & Daddy saw his first crawl and we got it on video!  (For some reason it's not letting me upload.  ugh!)

Brayden also loves to mimic right now, so we make bubble noises and a snorting noise.  It's so dang cute!  He also gives high 5's.  We're working on waving and saying Da-Da more consistently.

He has 8 teeth now...yowza!  Right after Thanksgiving 6 teeth started to break through.  He had his bottom 2 teeth and then all of a sudden all 4 of the top came in and the other 2 bottom.  So crazy!  We went through a few tubes of teething gel, but overall he seemed to handle it pretty well.

In addition to crawling, he's also started pulling yourself up in his crib and the ottoman downstairs.  The unfortunate part about this is he's also started chewing on his crib, which is so disappointing, because it's a convertible crib, so we'll have to try and fix it after he's done teething like a monster!

We've officially gotten rid of his 'baby toys' and have moved on to more interactive learning toys and he LOVES them.  For Christmas he got spoiled rotten with all kinds of toys including 3 riding toys, so he loves to be pushed or pulled around the house.

We've also introduced some more finger foods, like puffs and gold fish and he's doing really well with it and his pincher skills have gotten much better.  We've also introduced a few table food items and so far, so good.

Other December pics...

His new snow suit, which he acts like he can't move in.  Hilarious!

This is his shock and awe face.  Adorbs!

Christmas at our house.

Couldn't ask for a sweeter Christmas present.

He LOVES his motorcycle if you can't tell.

What's this thing?

Really Mom, I'm sick and tired of this!

Look at me...I'm a BIG boy!

And now I'm going to chew myself out of here!
